Fiberglass — also known as GRP (glass-reinforced plastic) roofing — delivers exceptional strength, dimensional stability, and resistance to moisture and chemicals. It is a proven choice for flat and low-slope commercial roofs in coastal New Jersey environments.
We install complete GRP roofing systems over flat and low-slope commercial decks. The fiberglass laminate is laid in place and cured to form a seamless, watertight membrane that conforms to the deck geometry.
Cracks, blisters, delamination, and punctures in existing GRP systems are repaired by grinding back the damaged area, applying a new fiberglass laminate patch, and finishing with a topcoat gel coat matched to the existing surface.
Weathered fiberglass roofs with a sound underlying laminate can be restored with a fresh gel coat topcoat application. This extends roof life significantly at a fraction of the cost of full replacement and improves UV and chemical resistance.
Ocean County's coastal salt air, UV exposure, and freeze-thaw cycling are hard on conventional roofing membranes. Fiberglass GRP systems resist all three — the resin matrix does not corrode, the glass fiber reinforcement does not rot, and the cured laminate forms a continuous barrier with no seams to separate or lap joints to fail.
